Residents attended the annual Veterans Day Service at the Veterans Monument, the Commons, corner of Park Ave & Main Street on 11/11/2015 at 11 a.m.

This is always a very moving event and Middleport is lucky that the VFW Post and the Scouts hold this ceremony for us so that we can retire our flags with honor.

Lunch was served at the Middleport Fire Hall on Main Street following the services by the Clute Phillips VFW Ladies Auxiliary 938.

Many thanks to those who took the time out of their busy lives to remember all of those who have willingly served our nation to keep it free.
