• January Holiday Dinner – The Annual Holiday Dinner meeting will be held on Wednesday, January 18th at the United Methodist Church, beginning with drinks and appetizers at 6:00 PM and dinner at 6:30 PM, served by Bond Catering. Menu will consist of baked chicken, ziti with meatballs, green beans, chef salad, and cookies for dessert. Members dinners are free and guests will be $14.00. RSVP date is Friday, January 13th. Due to scheduling conflicts, Greg has been unable to get the speaker he was planning on so asked for ideas on a speaker we could contact. Keith suggested Linda Richter with the Imagination Library Program. He will contact her. Ann and Vonda will get with Julie to discuss table centerpieces. Greg also suggested we mail the invitations to members in addition to emailing in hopes of getting better attendance. Vonda will send them in early January.

• Growing the Group – Brian Yaiser asked if we have reached out to all area businesses on the outskirts of the village (i.e. Middleport Family Health, etc.). We need to come up with ways to improve attendance and membership. It was also suggested that we need more ideas for exposure and ideas to make the RHBPA more beneficial to members.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:39 AM. The next meeting will be Wednesday, January 18th at 6:00 PM at the United Methodist Church.

(Please note: There was no meeting in November as only 3 members were in attendance.)

Music In The Park – July 17th

• Port-a-Potty: Port-a Potty was never delivered.
• RH Community Library: Library was happy with the profit they made and would like to participate again next year.
• Publicity: Thank You’s should be sent to those who participated. Follow-up article with winners needs to be sent to the newspaper.

• Suggestions for Improving and Reducing Costs for Event Next Year:

We need to do a better job of promoting the event. We should be more clear that the music is free. It is also good to vary the bands to get a different following.

No Port-a-Potty since Scout House Restrooms are available.

One large tent for wineries and have 3 or 4 pop up tents around the event for people to use.

Discussed that some attendees bring glasses from previous years and don’t pay. Leonard Oakes gave us wrist bands to use to show that people had purchased their ticket this year. Discussed using wrist bands or stickers next year.

Also any RHBPA member who has wine glasses from previous years can give to Julie to help reduce the amount we may need to purchase next year.

If anyone has signs from last year and/or this year, please bring to next meeting (or give to Julie) so she can get an accurate count.

Fall Evening Mixer

We will plan to have this for the October meeting. Hor d’oeuvres, beer and wine will be served. Greg will contact the speaker to determine availability so date can be set. He will try to plan it for a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday evening.
