State trooper divers from Athol Springs came down and the car was eventually pulled out inch by agonizing inch. It almost ran over my cousins who are playing on that embankment. The family was visiting from Buffalo on a 25 foot Chris Craft docked at Middleport.

I returned from the navy in 1962 with my wife and 2 children. Ultimately we bought our 1st house in 1966 on South Vernon street.  We moved to Westfield mass in 1976.  Harold Lasal sold our home.  I played lots of golf with Harold Fran Jackson Tommy Sheldon  Don Heath plus many others at Shelridge CC.

It is open to anyone in the Royalton and Hartland communities, which includes Middleport.  Just bring an ID and proof of residence on your first visit.  We have winter clothing.
