We live life a slower in our Village and we enjoy our small quiet streets, local Police Department, excellent school system, sports organizations and more!

Mr. Norman, Harold Austin and James Arnold formed their own firm and became known for their work in metal fabrication, arc welding and machine work.  In 1961 the business moved from Kelly Avenue to a former Niagara Chemical Division building on Maple Avenue at the foot of Cemetery Street and added six additional employes.

Chauncey Norman retired in 1971 and passed away in 1993.

The poster is available for a suggested $5 donation. Funds raised will be used to publish a book about the history of the Village of Middleport written by former Village Historian Anna Wallace. Stop by the Village Hall Monday- Friday from 8:30 to 4 p.m. on Main St. to get your poster. They are also available at the Village Historian’s Office in the Masonic Lodge that is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Posters can also be ordered by mail by sending a check made out to the MATABC (Middleport Area Tourism and Beautification Committee) for $14 to cover the $9 for postage and $5 donation to MATABC, PO Box 114, Middleport, NY.

Life in the Village

Middleport New York is located in eastern Niagara County. The Village and surrounding rural area is close to many local amenities and places to visit. The Orleans Health Care Facility (Medina Hospital) is 4 miles from the Village as well, and shopping centers in Buffalo and Rochester are about a 45-minute ride from Middleport.
